I can’t begin to describe how FANTASTIC it was seeing Fall Out Boy twice in the past few days, one of them at the hometown show at the Riviera Theatre.
I cried tears of joy numerous times and over the course of the past 3 days, I was waiting in venue lines for more than 24 hours. Some would say I’m insane, but HOLY SHIT, it was worth every fucking minute. In Milwaukee I got to crowdsurf and scream into Pete’s mic during “Saturday.” Last night, I was on the barricade, singing lyrics back to the people who wrote them. And the best part of it all was sharing these memories with some of my best friends.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I live for times like these.
15 DAYS UNTIL I DIE OF HAPPINESS AT THE RIV.
Throwback Thursday.
Back when Cobra Starship was a tiny band, this happened. If you look above Gabe’s shoulder, you can see me in the yellow, looking like I’m gonna pass out. You can also spot my bff4l in the brown and white.
We’re about to shoot the Used killing it in Chicago! Anybody here? Expect photos up by Friday!
tonight was too fun!
Deleted a bunch of pictures from my iPod and found this gem among them. While waiting for the Yellowcard show at HOB, I noticed an emo kid angstily standing with his parents. Couldn’t help but capture the beautiful moment.
TSL played “Surprise, Surprise” as part of their encore tonight. It meant the world to me because I covered this song as a FUCK YOU to my ex-boyfriend. If you listen closely, you can actually hear me screaming the lyrics.
This view alone was worth the 8-hour wait.
Just for the record, I don’t think I’ve EVER heard a crowd sing so loudly. The entire venue went nuts when “Best of Me” played. And of course, I was crying because I was so fucking happy.
Joe and I were front and center for the entirety of New Found Glory’s 10-year anniversary of Sticks And Stones tonight at Bottom Lounge. I got kicked in the face, was crushed against the stage, and had crowdsurfers repeatedly falling on my head, but it was all worth it to have Jordan Pundik singing a foot away from my face for most of NFG’s set. When he held his mic in front of me during “My Friends Over You” and I could have died from excitement right there.
By the grace of some higher power, I ended up snagging setlists from The Story So Far and NFG, as well as 2 of Chad’s picks. And to put a cherry on top, Cyrus handed me a drumstick before leaving the stage.
tl;dr: NFG was amazing, and I left the Bottom Lounge with a huge haul.
