First of all, thank you for the non-creepy question, anon. It’s refreshing that there’s something in my ask box that doesn’t have to do with sex.
To answer your question, I don’t deal with stuck up girls. I know it’s going to sound arrogant, but I figure that if I’m nice to people and they still don’t give me the time of day, they aren’t worth the effort. Don’t waste your time trying to impress people who don’t see how amazing you are. Instead, focus you attention on those that already care about you.
As for being shy, look at it this way: You’re new, so you have a clean slate. If you put yourself out there, you haven’t got anything to lose when it comes to strangers. The worst that could happen is that they don’t want to hang out, and chances are that you’ll never have to talk with them again. On the other hand, if you make a friend, you’ve gained a whole lot.
